Back on March 24, 2016 Tyler Myers was missing from a Jets skate and later that day we found out that it was because the Jets had put him on the shelf as he required both knee and hip surgeries. That same day coach Maurice indicated that by “mid August to September month that he (Myers) will be cleared to get back to full training”. Of course that timeline was assuming all went well with Myers rehabilitation.
Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff addressed this on Saturday in Buffalo when asked about the rehab and how Myers was progressing indicating that the Jets defenceman is doing “Really well. The updates and that have been good. He is starting to a lot of active recovery, a lot of active stuff. No pain and everything seems to be going along very well”.
So it would appear that the Jets defenceman continues to be on course as he gets ready for next season.
