Afternoon Delight: Visitors

  • The weekly Hot List from THN. Of the players IC staff have seen, we are high on Bourque and Carlson, but lukewarm to chilly on Olsen.
  • One Timers and Deflections comments on the Alex Rigsby story and gives a primer on Major Junior Hockey.
  • A Tampa Bay Lightning preview, from View from the Seats.
  • Barry Melrose Rocks posts odds for the 2010 Stanley Cup. Getting ahead of ourselves a little, but never too early to plan for next year.
  • Bill McCreary defends NHL officiating in the Slapshot Blog. In retrospect, the officiating wasn’t all that bad. However, if one views it through the eyes of a Wings or Pens fan, you might get a different opinion.
  • Greatest Hockey Legends calls for Jean Beliveau to receive a lifetime achievement award from the NHL. They also have an interesting story about one Blake Watson. Second the motion on Beliveau.
  • The Western College Hockey blog has some information about prospects Mike Lee and Zach Budish. Mike Lee is a keeper (pardon the pun) and I doubt Budish makes it too far down the list despite his injury last year. His combination of size and skill will make some time take a shot.

The Jets won
The Moose lost
