Manitoba Moose announce they’ve signed five players

Looks like the Manitoba Moose will kick off the frenzy as the Jets farm club announced five signings this morning.

Jake Baker, Brandon Denham, Jiri Fronk, Darren Kramer and Tyson Wilson.

Moose Release:

Baker, 24, appeared in nine games with the Moose last season, scoring two points (1G, 1A) and collecting 29 penalty minutes. The six foot five, 225 pound native of Port Moody, BC also played in 51 games with the Quad City Mallards of the ECHL where he scored 10 points (2G,8A) along with 51 penalty minutes.

Denham, 24, also appeared in nine games with the Moose last season where he scored four points (1G, 3A) and had two penalty minutes on the right wing. The six foot four, 220 pound native of Milton, ON finished up four seasons at Robert Morris University last year with 42 points (22G, 20A) and 74 penalty minutes in 39 games.

Fronk, 22, appeared in 33 games with the Moose in 2015-16 and scored eight points (6G, 2A) along with eight penalty minutes. The six foot two, 190 pound native of Louny, CZE also played in five games with the Tulsa Oilers where he scored two points (1G, 1A).

Kramer, 24, played in 61 games last season with the Moose where he collected 12 points (7G, 5A) and 138 penalty minutes. The six foot one, 210 pound native of Peace River, AB has played in 191 games in the AHL with Manitoba, and Binghamton. In that time, he has scored 34 points (15G, 19A) and accumulated 683 penalty minutes. He was drafted in the sixth round, 156th overall, by the Ottawa Senators in the 2011 NHL Draft.

Wilson, 25, played in three games with the Moose last season after finishing up five seasons at Robert Morris University. The six foot one, 200 pound native of Brockville scored 27 points (2G, 25A) on the blueline in his final season with the Colonials.
