The Jets opened the season with a hard-fought 4-3 overtime loss to the Boston Bruins last night. Winnipeg will get back to work today, hitting the ice in Manitoba’s capital before heading out on the road for a pair of games against the Red Wings on Sunday and the Penguins on Monday.

According to Kelly Moore of 680 CJOB only change this morning was Gabriel Vilardi not skating so Cole Koepke got the bump up to the second line which would seem to indicate it’s likely maintenance.

As per Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press “says it was a maintenance day for Gabriel Vilardi, nothing to be concerned about. Arniel wouldn’t disclose the rotation but said the plan was for each goalie to get a start on this two-game road trip.”
