The Jets were expected to make their biggest round of cuts today, trimming their training camp roster from 46 players to 34 as head coach Scott Arniel advised the last few days that he wanted to get down to one group when the team resumes skating on Thursday.
The Moose began training camp on Monday with a number of fill-in players, and with these players being assigned, they are beginning to get some of the players they’ll rely upon this season.
These eight have been loaned to the Moose:
G – Isaac Poulter
D – Alfons Freij
F – Colby Barlow
F – Kevin He
F – Jacob Julien
F – Fabian Wagner
F – Lucas Wahlin
F – Kieron Walton
These four have been released from their PTOs but will all be with Manitoba:
D – Lukas Gustafsson
D – Dysin Mayo
D – Ashton Sautner
F – Davis Burnside
As mentioned above that leaves the Jets with 34 players left at camp. They are:
