When Samuel Hrenák‘s name was called by the Jets in the third round of the 2026 NHL Draft, folks in Winnipeg quickly understood just how much being drafted meant to him. He never seemed to stop smiling, carrying that excitement from Draft week right through Development Camp.

On Sunday, he was named to Slovakia’s National Junior Team summer camp roster.
The summer camp will bring together Slovakia’s top under-20 players as the program begins preparing for the 2027 IIHF World Junior Championship.
