The Moose made a pair of moves this morning, signing defenceman Ashton Sautner and forward Tyson Empey to AHL deals.
Sautner has spent the last four seasons with the Moose after previously appearing in two games for Manitoba during the COVID-shortened 2020-21 campaign. The Flin Flon-born, Alberta-raised defenceman is a well-respected leader within the organization.
Empey has spent the last two seasons with Manitoba, although he was limited to 24 games this past year. The Saskatchewan product brings a physical edge to the lineup and isn’t afraid to make life difficult for the opposition.
The full terms of both contracts have not yet been disclosed.
