Note: The full list of Jets exit media availabilities from Friday is Cole Perfetti | Jonathan Toews | Gabriel Vilardi | Josh Morrissey | Adam Lowry | Mark Scheifele | Kyle Connor | Connor Hellebuyck. We will be hearing from Winnipeg head coach Scott Arniel and GM Kevin Cheveldayoff on Monday so keep it locked here and to our YouTube channel.
Note II: The Jets did make some news on Saturday as the team announced they had signed Cole Koepke to a two-year extension.
Note III: While it didn’t impact their game as they wouldn’t be sent on the road, we learned that Brad Lambert and Brayden Yager had been loaned to the Moose. Manitoba wrapped up their regular season on Saturday night in Iowa as they demolished the Wild by a final score of 6-1 thanks to Parker Ford (1G 2) and Colby Barlow (2G, first ever multi goal game as a pro). It wasn’t enough to secure them a bye to the second round of the playoffs (which the Stars claimed with a victory yesterday) so they will play host to the Admirals which gets underway on Wednesday.
Note IV: We knew that Jets prospect Sascha Boumedienne had entered the NCAA Transfer Portal to leave Boston University after two seasons as a Terrier. On Saturday Brad Schlossman of the Grand Forks Herald confirmed that Boumedienne would be heading to Ohio State for his junior season. He is certainly familiar with Columbus given he lived there for a few years. Speaking of the Buckeyes, Edison Engle (2025 6th) who is committed there next season, now have an opponent for the OHL Eastern Conference Finals as his undefeated Brantford Bulldogs (8-0) will take on the Barrie Colts.
Jets news:
