He had another shot at a National Championship this season as his Pioneers were back in the title game this past weekend in Vegas. In order to get to the championship game he provided the primary assist on the 3rd period game-tying goal against number 1 Michigan in the semi-final.

On Saturday with his team trailing 1-0 to Wisconsin he once again took a blast from the point which resulted in his getting a primary assist on the game-tying goal in the 3rd period. He then got another assist on what turned out to be the game-winning goal for his team like seven minutes later.
