Notable:

The Moose had themselves a very good opening period of hockey here in Winnipeg and only thing they were missing was a goal. That was solved by Alex Limoges tying the game with his sixth of the season (see here). Nice pass by Tyler Boland.

Manitoba were shell shocked to start the middle frame being outshot 8-0 just three minutes into the period which ballooned to 11-1 less than five minutes into the 2nd. But despite this they didn’t allow a goal during that stretch.

Which was good for them because Wyatt Bongiovanni went with the pass to himself off the glass to give Manitoba their first lead of the game.

After the Admirals tied it quickly Manitoba took back the lead courtesy of Jeff Malott‘s eighth goal of the season as he was in the right place at the right time to deposit this puck home. He and Alex Limoges shared a laugh on the bench after the goal.

The PK was excellent today going 4/4 despite the fact that the officiating was not very good.

Manitoba are now 9-5-2-1 on the season. Re-match on Saturday afternoon.

One thing should be 100%: Project 11 school day game has to become a mainstay for Moose.
