The Jets took advantage of a very good but potentially tired Rangers team who were coming to Winnipeg having played three games in four nights although conversely the home side was dealing with rust of having not played in one week.

Notable:
Goalie Connor Hellebuyck looked like Connor Hellebuyck as he put on a sensational 40 save performance.
The word balance was thrown out quite a bit during the pre-season but it was good to see the 4th line given time in the 3rd period in either a tie or close game.
Jets top line of Mark Scheifele, Kyle Connor and Nikolaj Ehlers looks very good together.
This was Scott Arniel‘s first win as a head coach since April 7th, 2012 as he stood in for Rick Bowness who has covid.
Irt was good to see David Gustafsson on the ice for the Jets during the penalty kill. Litte point giving these kids the responsibility in the AHL if they don’t get a chance to keep it going in the NHL. He also picked up his first ever NHL assist on Gagner’s game-winner.
Nice welcome to Winnipeg moment for Sam Gagner whose goal would prove to be the game-winner.
Multi point game:
Mark Scheifele 2G
Nikolaj Ehlers 2A
