Note II: Yesterday I did a quick look at all the free things Barry Trotz has been offered if he accepts the Winnipeg Jets head coaching job. List includes: Beer, Sausage, Oil changes, Free-range eggs, Countryfest tickets 4 life and a Dauphin Herald subscription. And he’ll be paid millions of dollars to coach. Seems like a pretty, pretty, pretty good deal from his fellow Manitobans. If you know of anything missing from this list send me a tweet here.
Note III: Regardless of whether the Jets hire a new head coach today or tomorrow before 9 AM you better join us on Saturday for what could prove to be a very interesting and eventful Illegal Curve Hockey Show.

Winnipeg Free Press: Trotz talk heating up in Winnipeg. (Paywall). Mike is reporting that the two sides are slated to meet this weekend. If this comes to fruition it is gonna be quite festive for Jets fans.
