Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets and Moose news, video and audio.

Note: The Jets couldn’t afford to have a let down game last night to kick off this four-game homestand but that is exactly what happened as they dropped the contest 3-1 to the Blackhawks. They are off today.

Note II: The Moose are taking another day off. They’ll be back practicing tomorrow.

Jets news:

Sportsnet: Lack of balanced attack derailing Jets’ search for consistency. Sometimes it comes down to the simple answer and for this Jets team it is that they do not score enough goals to win. They rank 26th in the NHL at 5 on 5 goals for. That just isn’t good enough.

Winnipeg Sun: Jets put on lifeless display in loss to Hawks. Scott recaps the game from his spot inside Canada Life.

Winnipeg Sun: Physicality and fisticuffs hallmarks of Jets’ early second-half success. Which was lacking in the game against Chicago.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets get goalied in 3-1 loss to Blackhawks. While Marc-Andre Fleury played a solid game the Jets didn’t do enough to make his life difficult.

Winnipeg Free Press: Jets have lots of fight. (Paywall). They sure didn’t show it last night.

Global News: Inconsistent Jets falter at home in 3-1 loss to Blackhawks. Another recap of last night’s game.

Chicago Tribune: Patrick Kane scores first goal since January in Blackhawks’ 3-1 bounce-back win against the Jets. Always good to gain insight from a writer that covers the Jets opponent.

Jets video:

Jomboy Media: Breaking down the Jets and Wild centre ice melee. If you are unfamiliar with Jomboy he puts an entertaining twist on sporting events and the double battle that occurred last Tuesday between Winnipeg and Minnesota caught his eye.

Jets audio:
