Note: This is day 64 since the NHL hit the pause button on the 2019-20 season.
Jets news:
The Athletic Winnipeg: Bob Essensa reflects on Jets career, capturing the Stanley Cup as a coach. (Paywall – 90 day free option). I don’t know about you but I cannot read the name Essensa without hearing Curt Keilback yelling “Great save Essensa!”. Ken caught up with the former Jets 1.0 goalie.
Jets Official Site: Nikolaj Ehlers enjoying time with family during NHL pause. Ehlers could finally have the chance to go to the rink in shorts. Jamie Thomas of JetsTV caught up with the Dynamic Dane.
Fishing League Worldwide: Q & A with Jets goalie Connor Hellebuyck. Hellebuyck comes by those fish on his mask honestly as the Jets top goalie is also an avid fisherman. He did this interview awhile back for those who are also into fishing.
Moose news:
Winnipeg Sun: Moose goalie Eric Comrie reflects on strangest season of his life. As someone who covers this team there was an unquestionable malaise when Comrie was picked up off waivers by the Arizona Coyotes to start the season. It was particularly evident during the month of October so when Comrie was re-claimed by the Jets organization it was quite remarkable to see the elation from his teammates when he retuned.
NHL news:
Sportsnet: Bettman not contemplating cancelling remainder of NHL season. I remain skeptical but I guess time will tell if the NHL resumes this summer.
