Winnipeg Jets coach Paul Maurice provides health updates on Mathieu Perreault, Adam Lowry and Mark Letestu

Jets bench boss provides some additional updates on some of his injured players.

Perreault Lowry and Letestu

Today following morning skate with Mathieu Perreault in a regular uniform and Adam Lowry remaining in the non-contact Jets bench boss Paul Maurice was asked for updates about the two:

“So Matty Perreault comes out of the gold and into blue.  So he’s moved to contact now.  So we’ll list him as day-to-day.  Don’t know that it’s Vegas but we’ll see how he gets through.  Adam’s at the tail end of the gold.  So we hope that in the next two or three days he’ll come out of that as well and move into contact.  Both of those injuries are upper-body so they’ve been able to skate.  So there is not the conditioning concern on that injury.  So once they get through the bumping and they feel strong they’ll be available, there will be a pretty quick turnaround from coming out of the gold.”

On Mark Letestu he added this:

“He could come back and be a player for the Winnipeg Jets.  He’s cleared to play.  So like those guys I mentioned with the gold they’ve been skating, he’s at the opposite end of that turnaround spectrum because his heart rate has been held very, very low for six months.  Thirty minutes yesterday felt like a day of training camp for him so it’s going to be awhile before he can build back to be a player.”
