Note:  The Jets held a media availability in Winnipeg on Friday before they left for Edmonton.  Tonight they will take on an Oilers team that were shutout by the Vegas Golden Knights on Wednesday night.  Be sure to check back for the pre-game report following morning skate for the latest news and audio.  Puck drop is at 9 PM CST.

Note II:  A week of practice for the Manitoba Moose is in the rear view mirror and today they will get a crack at the Chicago Wolves who hold the final playoff spot in the Central Division.  With the Moose sitting eight points back it is going to be quite the mountain to climb to get back into contention and it starts today at 2 PM CST.

Winnipeg Free Press: Kulikov living in the moment despite an unclear future with Jets. (Paywall).  Kulikov is in the final year of a three-year contract and has been a stabilizing force for the Jets on the backend.

The Athletic Winnipeg:  Cody Eakin returns to his Winnipeg roots after trade to Jets.  (Paywall).  Ken (who will be a guest on today’s Illegal Curve Hockey Show on TSN 1290) with a great piece about the 28-year-old Winnipegger.

Winnipeg Sun:  Laine’s status up in the airWhen Paul Maurice said there were no breaks it was good news but obviously he will still need some healing time before he gets back into the lineup.
