The Jets are out west for a one-game road trip to Edmonton before they head back to The Peg for three straight home games. Tonight they take on an Oilers team that last played on Wednesday where they lost 3-0 to Vegas Golden Knights.
According to Ken Wiebe of The Athletic Winnipeg there is no Patrik Laine or Josh Morrissey on the ice for today’s morning skate in Edmonton. He also provides the adjusted forward lines sans number 29.
Jets Projected Lines & D Pairs:
Coach Maurice: Updates on Morrissey and Laine. Why does Mason Appleton fit in the top six? Thoughts on the updated Oilers roster. The addition of Cody Eakin to the lineup. What goes into keeping Wheeler, Scheifele and Connor together? How close is Dmitry Kulikov to his form from earlier this season? On a guy like Kulikov playing in the final year of his deal. What changed in the PK that has made it so effective?

Coach Maurice indicated both Josh Morrissey and Patrik Laine are not playing tonight. In response to a question as to whether this is something he worries about past tonight’s game “I’ll list them both as day-to-day and won’t know until we get further along the road.”.
Puck drop is at 9 PM CST. Be sure to head over to illegalcurve.com following the game for a recap of the action which includes post-game audio from the Jets room as well as from Coach Maurice.
