Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Your source for all the latest Jets and Moose news, video and audio.

Note:  The Jets had a practice on Wednesday afternoon in Dallas where we learned Blake Wheeler and Andrew Copp are both expected to play tonight when the Jets take on the Stars in Dallas to complete this four game road trip.  There is an optional morning skate on the schedule and a media availability this morning at 11:30 am ahead of the 7:30 pm puck drop so be sure to check back for the pre-game report.

Note II:  The big news on Wednesday was courtesy of NHL insider Elliotte Friedman who indicated that he believed that the NHLPA would file a grievance to contest the suspension by the Jets. Around 6 pm he confirmed that the NHLPA had filed it.  As per 17.3 (b) of the CBA there are ten days to respond (in writing) to the filing of a grievance.

Note III:  The Moose kicked off their seven game road trip last night in Belleville with a 2-1 victory which coincidentally was their seventh straight victory.  Nathan Todd scored his first AHL goal, Jansen Harkins points streak hit 10 games and Mikhail Berdin made 38 saves for his seventh straight win.  Today they are off before they play two big games against the Marlies in Toronto this weekend.
