Note: The Jets ended the year with a 4-3 win over the Oilers which improved them to 25-12-2 this season and ensured they finished 2018 atop the Western Conference. Note II: There was a report out yesterday that the Jets and Flames could be participating in a Heritage Classic in Regina next season. Stay tuned because NHL commissioner Gary Bettman is supposed to make the announcement during the 2nd period of today’s Winter Classic.
Note III: The Moose also ended 2018 on a positive note as they completed the weekend sweep of the Eagles with a 4-1 win on Monday thanks in large part to the efforts of goalie Eric Comrie.
