The Skinny:
The Moose were 6-6 coming into action as they looked to close out this four-game home stand with some good feeling ahead of a road trip which starts in Texas on Tuesday. They were facing a Griffins team that they have built a good rivaly with dating back to last season’s Calder Cup playoffs. Perhaps it was the fact that it was retro jersey night but it had an old school feel to tonight’s game. Plenty of post-whistle chirping and fists between these two squads and the laundry list of penalty infractions bears witness to this fact. The Moose also gave the fans inside Bell MTS Place plenty of goals to cheer about as they scored three in the 1st, one in the 2nd and two more in the 3rd to pace themselves to a much needed win.

– Eric Comrie made 38 saves in the win (the 23rd of which was save #4000 for the organization);
– Mason Appleton finished with 1G 2A (7G 7A for 14PTS in 13GP);
– Kristian Vesalainen scored his first and second pro goals (in North America);
– Seth Griffith was bloodied in the 1st, didn’t play the 2nd, wore a cage in 3rd and left midway;
– Alexis D’Aoust looked dangerous and was rewarded with his first goal as a member of the Moose;
– Logan Stanley picked up his first career pro assist.

Tuesday, November 13th at AT&T Center against the San Antonio Rampage, the AHL affiliate of the St. Louis Blues at 10:30 am for a school day game. It kicks off four on the road for Manitoba.
