Stanley seems to be the biggest lightning rod of all the Jets draft picks they’ve selected since relocation to Winnipeg. Mike also writes about the Joe Morrow signing and Minnesotan (and newest Jets goalie prospect) Jared Moe finds a new favorite team.
Winnipeg Free Press: Sky is the limit for Vesalainen. (Paywall). It will certainly be a boon to the organization to have him in Winnipeg next season whether that is playing for the Jets or the Moose.
Winnipeg Sun: Vesalainen hoping to play for Jets this fall although he still needs to get a deal done. Potentially adding another piece of drafted talent is certainly important for a draft and develop team like the Jets.
Global News: Jets’ 2017 1st round draft pick eager to play with fellow Finns. I am really gonna need to brush up on my Finnish ahead of next season.
TSN: Pens clear space, will Jets and Bolts follow? Some speculation that the Jets will look to pull a similar move to what we saw the Penguins do when they made the trade with Buffalo on Wednesday.
