Winnipeg Jets Morning Papers

Latest Winnipeg Jets and Manitoba Moose news.

Note:  The Jets will hit the ice at 11 AM at the MTS Centre as they get ready for a date with the Dallas Stars here tomorrow night.  We should get an indication as to the status of Tobias Enstrom but since the Jets didn’t call up any defencemen from the Moose yesterday it could be an indication that he is fine.  We will know more today and of course will have illegalcurve.com up to date with the latest.  Update:  Plenty of interesting tidbits in today’s Practice Report including lines, D pairs as well as audio from Wheeler, Little, Copp and coach.  We also got an injury update (of sorts) on Pavelec & Enstrom.

Note II:  The Moose have an off day today.  They picked up a shootout win over the Monsters yesterday afternoon in Cleveland.  It was actually the third time in a row a Moose and Monsters game went to a shootout.  The team will return to the ice on Tuesday in Grand Rapids for practice as they try to enact some revenge against a Griffins team that beat them last week in the first game of this road trip.

Jets news:

Winnipeg Free Press:  ‘Our season is on the line,’ Perreault says as Jets battle for wildcard spot.  (Paywall).  Feels like that statement has been on replay for quite some time now but the fact is the Jets are six points out of the last spot and the Kings (who currently hold it) have three games in hand.  Tall task obviously but until they are mathematically eliminated they will have to keep pushing ahead.
