After losing eight straight to the Golden Knights the Jets win lucky number 9 to pick up a critical two points for their standings bank as they move four up on the Stars. Winnipeg improves to 52-20-4 on the season also giving themselves a three point edge on the Capitals for top spot in the entire NHL. They also match the most wins in franchise history with six games left in the season. Previously when they got to 52 wins (both in 2017-18 and last season) they did so in game 82.

Notable:
The Jets needed to start the game off on the right skate and they did just that being rewarded with Mark Scheifele‘s 37th goal of the season to open the scoring. That leaves number 55 just one point shy of 800 for his career.
Folks were holding their breath when Nikolaj Ehlers blocked a shot and was in some pain. But the good news was he was back on the ice and played the rest of the game.
Adam Lowry gives the Jets a little cushion with his 15th goal of the season. That matches his career high which he got in 2016-17 in 82 games. Did it in 14 fewer games this time around.
Luke Schenn makes you pay a price when you want to get to the front of the Jets net which is just what this team needs.
The Winnipeg power play needed to get one and they did as former Knight Colin Miller blasted this shot home against his former team to increase the Jets lead to 3-0.
The Jets would add an empty netter as Cole Perfetti got his 18th of the season putting him one goal back of his career high which he set last season.
And even when the Jets had breakdowns Eric Comrie stood tall in his net. He gets his second shutout of the season and fourth of his career. Shutting out the Hurricanes and Golden Knights. Not too shabby.
After seeing the Stars win again and get within two points the Jets added some breathing room getting it back to a four point lead (Dallas has a game in hand) making that April 10th game next week all the more riveting.
