Notable:

Jets captain Adam Lowry and veteran Pat Maroon had a quick chat before the opening faceoff and then the two dropped the gloves just two seconds into the game to address the issues that took place in yesterday’s game in Winnipeg.

Cole Perfetti had a rough first period as he took a Ryan Hartman stick to the face and then slid into the Jets net to prevent a goal against.

Perhaps there was some karma for Perfetti as Hartman appeared to score the opening goal of the game but the Jets challenged and it was overturned for his being offside.

The Wild would open the scoring when Foligno redirected a point shot to take a 1-0 lead with 1:53 left in the 1st period.

Based on the opening 20 minutes in St. Paul it is probably a good thing the Jets and Wild don’t play again until February 20th cause these two fan bases will need some time to cool off after these back-to-back games.

A much better start to the middle frame for the Jets as captain Adam Lowry opened the scoring which was his seventh of the season and his 100th of his NHL career. He is on pace for around 16 goals this season which would be a career high for number 17.

Mason Appleton matched his career high for assists with 13. He’s on pace for 30 this season.

After giving up the lead 3:56 into the 3rd the Jets tied the game courtesy of Vlad Namestnikov‘s fourth goal of the season as he scored quickly for Winnipeg on the power play.

Just under three minutes later the Jets took their first lead of the game as the Minnesota Man Dominic Toninato got his first of the season on a delayed penalty call.
