post-game recap

Winnipeg Jets stay within reach in playoff race with 3-2 victory over Blues in St. Louis

Recap of the game.

It was an absolute must-win game for the Winnipeg Jets against the Blues and they did in fact come away from St. Louis with a victory and two points. And given the recent history that was no small feat as, prior to tonight, the home team (including playoffs) had won 11 straight games as per Kelly Moore of 680 CJOB.

Notable:

Josh Morrissey was looking for Vezina votes with this save.

With two more assists on the night Mark Scheifele now has 99 points and is one point back of becoming the first ever 100 point player for the 2.0 version of the Jets.

First game-winning goal for Jonathan Toews in a Jets jersey. It comes 1,253 days after his last one which was back on November 3, 2022 for the Hawks.

The out-of-town scoreboard appears mostly favourable with the Predators losing, the Sharks losing while the Kings won which means:

Los Angeles 84 (4)
Nashville 84 (3)
Winnipeg 82 (4)
San Jose 81 (4)
St. Louis 78 (4)

Multi Point Game:

Mark Scheifele 2A
