Recap of the game

Five straight goals in the 3rd for the Jets as they STORM back to defeat the Hurricanes 5-3 in Carolina. What a final frame. Winnipeg moves back into a tie for top spot (but lead based on points %) in the Central Division with three games in hand on the Stars (although Dallas plays San Jose tnt).

Notable:

Seventh straight season Kyle Connor scores at least 25 goals. Talk about consistent.

Josh Morrissey up to 14 assists in his last seven games. He hits the 40 assist plateau for the second straight season. Didn’t think he’d get that close to 60 again like last season but he’s on pace for 58. Not too shabby.

Rick Bowness confirmed after the game that Cole Perfetti was a healthy scratch.

Health update:

The Jets bench boss confirmed they sent Gabriel Vilardi back to Winnipeg to be evaluated as he deals with an upper-body injury. Said it was something that’s been bothering him for “a couple of days”.

Multipoint Game:

Josh Morrissey 3A
Nino Niederreiter 2G
