It has been almost a month since the Jets last won a hockey game but they snapped their 11-game winless streak with a big five goal outburst to defeat the Kings by a final score of 5-1. They last won a game back on December 13th which was also a 5-1 victory. Lots of goal droughts also got snapped.

Notable:
No Neal Pionk and Morgan Barron somewhat unexpectedly. Wasn’t clear what kept 36 out of the game but a quick review of last night’s game showed Pionk was in some pain after blocking a shot by Ty Emberson in the 2nd period.
Vlad Namestnikov hadn’t scored since November 1st but that goalless streak is over. First goal in 30.
Prospect Danny Zhilkin was getting some PK time.
We saw some emotion out of Captain Serious as Jonathan Toews got his fourth of the season to make it a 3-0 game for the Jets. He had gone 26 games without a goal. Last tally was November 11th.
Back-to-back goals for Mark Scheifele who banked his first one of the night in and then he ripped home his second off a nice sequence.
Multi Point Game:
Mark Scheifele 2G
Gabriel Vilardi 2A
Cole Perfetti 2A
