Winnipeg Jets skid hits three (0-2-1) as they lose first game of road trip 3-2 to the NY Islanders

Recap of the game.

The power play concerns have been erased after the Jets scored twice with the man advantage. Problem is they didn’t score at 5 on 5 and the Islanders got three past Connor Hellebuyck. Winnipeg lose 3-2 to New York and fall to 42-16-4 on the season.

Notable:

Pair of captains drop the gloves. You could see this coming after the hit on Appleton.

The power play drought ended at 0/17 after Josh Morrissey found the back of the net.

Rasmus Kupari in some pain after his leg bends awkwardly. His head also hit the ice.

And then they started a new power play streak as Nikolaj Ehlers made it 2/2 (after they went 0/1 in the 1st period) courtesy of his 19th goal of the season.

On the second Jets goal Josh Morrissey got to the 40 assist mark for the third straight season. He’s on pace for 52. He had 60 two years ago and 59 last season.
