While training camp signings aren’t unexpected this deal was, as Jets prospect Nikita Chibrikov has a two-year extension with the team that drafted him in the 2nd round of the 2021 NHL Draft.

It was announced by his agent Dan Milstein on twitter worth 850K and 900K at the NHL level which takes him to the 2027-28 season.
He will be an RFA for the 2028-29 season.
The 22-year old has five NHL games with the Jets under his belt (3G 1A) and is in the mix for more this season.
