Jets GM Kevin Cheveldayoff can strike one name off his list as he got RFA goalie Laurent Brossoit inked to a one-year deal with an AAV of $1,225,000.00.  That’s a nice jump in pay for the goalie who made $650,000.00 last season but considering how well he played  for the Jets it was well deserved.  In 21 games he finished with a 13-6-2 record (2.52 GAA, .925 save % and a goals saved above average of 9.77).

This ensures that the Jets have a solid goalie tandem of Connor Hellebuyck and Laurent Brossoit and maintains the organizational goaltending depth.

Brossoit will speak this evening about his new contract with Winnipeg.  Be sure to check back for more from the re-signed Jets goalie.

Conference Call:

On the process of getting the contract done.  On not testing the waters.  On the difference a year makes.  On frustration with the injury.   His relationship with Wade Flaherty.  Growth in his relationship with Connor Hellebuyck.  How does he maintain his chip/aggression heading into next season?  Will he change his summer routine or business as usual in terms of his prep?  On learning/feeding off his and Hellebuyck’s relationship.
