The Jets are rollin, rollin, rollin as they pick up fifth straight win defeating Panthers 3-0. They are 11-2-2 in last 15 games as they win in the return of Winnipeg head coach Rick Bowness.

Notable:
It feels like it’s been a long time since the news broke that Nino Niederreiter wanted to extend his time in Winnipeg and watching him game in and game out you have to think this organization would prefer to get that done. He is just such a valuable player in all areas of the ice.
Speaking of he scored the game-winning goal in the opening period of play as he deposited the rebound into the back of the net as he made a pain in the butt of himself. That tied Niederreiter’s total (six) from the 22 games he played for Winnipeg last season except this time he got it done in 19 games and he exceeds his points total by one (14).
One of the nicer goals (see below) you’ll see was scored by Nikolaj Ehlers who made a fantastic move before putting it up and over Bobrovsky in the 3rd to add some insurance for the Jets. That gives him four goals in this last five games.
After Adam Lowry went nine games without a goal he now has goals in back to back games. He got the OT GWG on Friday and tonight he got the empty net dagger which was shorthanded.
With the shorthanded goal against the Panthers current Jets captain Adam Lowry tied former Jets captain Blake Wheeler for the most SHG in Jets 2.0 history with 11. Interestingly Lowry quicker to 11 by 12 games (26 didn’t get a shorthanded goal in his last 222 games).
Netminder Connor Hellebuyck was phenomenal in net picking up his first shutout of the season making all 31 stops.
