Winnipeg Jets rout Columbus Blue Jackets 6-1 to kick off road trip with big win

The Jets regain top spot in the Central as they pick up two points defeating the Blue Jackets 6-1 to tie the Stars and Avs with 91 points. Winnipeg picks up their 43rd win of the season in their 67th game of the season. In 2022-23 win 43 came in game 77. In 2017-18 win 43 came in game 72.

Notable:

Mark Scheifele hits the 40 assist mark for the sixth time of his career.

On that first goal Dylan DeMelo got his 21st assist which matches the career high he set last season.

The Jets second line sure appeared to show some good chemistry that Rick Bowness had wanted from them in the middle frame.

A four goal middle frame for Winnipeg put an end to this one.
