Winnipeg Jets recall Ville Heinola from the Moose

With Mason Appleton heading to IR the Jets have an open roster spot. Or I should say they did because they recalled Ville Heinola this morning from the Moose.

Heinola is coming off his strongest game of the season for Manitoba. And it wasn’t just his pass on the OT winner.

In 11 games with the Moose this season Heinola has zero goals and seven assists. Although he’d probably have more points if his countryman had a bit more fin(n)ish.

Recalling Heinola is an interesting move by the Jets. Back on November 1st when Logan Stanley‘s slight foot fracture was revealed it was thought he’s be out a couple of weeks. So he could be close to a return to the lineup. Presuming all current D are healthy this recall gives them 8D. We shall have to wait and see if there is more to this when morning skate gets underway.
