The Jets announced this morning that they have recalled Jeffrey Viel from the Manitoba Moose on emergency conditions and placed forward David Gustafsson on IR. In 24 games with the Moose this season Viel has four goals and five assists.

He is more than just a face puncher and has played 49 NHL games with the Sharks previously with three goals and two assists.
It will be interesting to see if he gets into the lineup in a game that is expected to be a wee bit physical.
