The Jets are set to practice this morning in Winnipeg and before it got underway the team announced that they have placed Logan Stanley on IR retroactive to October 25th and that they have recalled Jansen Harkins on an emergency basis from the Moose. I do wonder if this emergency recall has something to do with Mason Appleton who left practice early on Tuesday and his head coach said in his media availability following practice that the winger “wasn’t feeling well”.
Since he cleared waivers Harkins has lit up the AHL posting 5G 4A in six games for Manitoba while playing in all situations. That included five straight games with at least a goal.
He could have pouted when he got sent down to the AHL. Instead he did what he does which is put his nose to the grindstone and worked. In addition to the scoring he’s put in plenty of PK work.
