Winnipeg Jets recall four players from the Manitoba Moose

On the final day of the regular season the Jets make a move.

The Jets take on the Canucks tonight in the 82nd game of the regular season. We already know that the five healthy scratches from last game will be getting into the game but the team also announced today that they have recalled four players from their AHL affiliate. Brad Lambert, Parker Ford, Nikita Chibrikov and goalie Collin Delia.

The team was in Milwaukee last night with where they lost 6-4 to the Admirals which eliminated their chances of home-ice advantage in their upcoming play-in series with the Stars. Instead the team went to Texas today and will be there for at least a week starting with two games this weekend to conclude the regular season and then up to three more games in the best-of-three series.

Great opportunity for two of the three rookies to make their NHL debuts this evening as head coach Rick Bowness confirmed that Brad Lambert (2022 1st) and Nikita Chibrikov (2021 2nd) will play. He said Park Ford is up in case anything changes so sounds unlikely he plays. And Collin Delia will backup Laurent Brossoit.

Quite a few days for Brad Lambert who was named yesterday to AHL All-Rookie team. He’s tied for 2nd on All-Time Moose rookie points list (with 2 games to go). He’s 2nd in AHL rookie scoring. And he will make his NHL debut tnt.

Folks shouldn’t sleep on Jets prospect Nikita Chibrikov (2021 2nd rounder) who is having himself an excellent rookie season. 17G 29A for 46 points in 69 games. Tied for 6th in AHL rookie points. He plays a ‘get under your skin’ style of game and also does things like this and this.

Parker Ford, who isn’t expected to play, is on the most important line for the Moose as part of the Identity Line which really drives this Manitoba club. He’s up to 17 goals on the season.
