According to the folks at CapFriendly the Jets have placed forward Joona Luoto on unconditional waivers to terminate his contract.

Luoto had one year remaining on the three-year deal he signed with the Jets back in June of 2019.  The childhood friend of Patrik Laine split time between the Moose and Jets playing 29 games in the AHL and 18 games in the NHL.

His most entertaining moment came off the ice when he began an English interview following practice in Finnish.

And I occasionally jump in the play-by-play booth at Canada Life to provide colour analysis during Manitoba Moose games.
