Winnipeg Jets prospect Elias Salomonsson in a “good day, bad day” stretch, still not skating

Tough news for the prospect given how things were progressing since his last recall.

Nine days ago Jets prospect defenceman Elias Salomonsson was knocked out of a game with the Stars in Dallas as he was on the receiving end of a Jason Robertson reverse hit.

Five days back head coach Scott Arniel provided an update after his club returned from the road trip that the Swedish defender remained in protocol and wasn’t skating.

Which brings us to today as he he wasn’t skating this morning in Winnipeg as the Jets get set for a huge game against the Flyers this evening.

When asked for an update Arniel said that he is having a “good day, bad day” and he hasn’t yet been on the ice. That’s really tough given how he has been progressing in his rookie season.

He’s played 32 games for Winnipeg this year with one goal and four assists.
