Jets 2017 5th rounder Leon Gawanke, who played his first season pro in 2019-20 with the Manitoba Moose, is back in the fold with the AHL club after being in quarantine for the last few weeks. He spent the start of the 2020-21 season playing for his hometown team the Polar Bears in Berlin. He had a very good rookie campaign with Manitoba earning praise from head coach Pascal Vincent when the season concluded. Gawanke is joining the team today according to Moose Manager of Hockey Communications & Broadcaster Daniel Fink.
