The Jets were back on the ice today at the IcePlex following their three game road trip. Winnipeg is getting ready to play the Flames (Monday) and the Canadiens (Wednesday) but all eyes are on who was missing from today’s skate as Jets fans worry about the status of rookie sensation Patrik Laine who left yesterday’s game in Buffalo in the 3rd period after being on the receiving end of a massive neutral zone hit. As expected, Patrik Laine was not on the ice for today’s skate according to Brian Munz of TSN 1290.
Update: Coach Maurice has confirmed that Patrik Laine has a concussion. “Tested out last night, see doctors again today.” The Jets bench boss couldn’t provide a timeline on a return for the rookie.
