Winnipeg Jets Practice Report

Latest from practice on the NHL club of Winnipeg.

The Jets had a rare day off on Sunday as they took in the sights and sounds of Chicago including a stop at Wrigley Field to watch the Cubs play and to see centre Jonathan Toews throw out the first pitch.

They woke up this morning just three points back of Nashville who hold the final wild card spot in the West after the Predators lost on Sunday. They’ve also have Los Angeles and Seattle ahead of them in a tightly bunched race to the end of the regular season.

Back in Winnipeg:

Morgan Barron was on the ice in Winnipeg after being placed in concussion protocol last Thursday.

Skate news:

As per Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Free Press at today’s optional the trio of injured players (Vlad Namestnikov, Nino Niederreiter and Colin Miller) were skating in yellow, non-contact jerseys.
