The Jets are coming off a 3-2 comeback OT win over the Blackhawks yesterday in Winnipeg but the hill is a steep one (like Mount Everest steep) to get to a playoff spot. With the Trade Deadline upcoming (Friday, March 6th at 2 PM CST) it is going to be interesting to see how they handle it in Manitoba.

Optional skate news:

A smattering of players hit the ice for today’s optional including Logan Stanley, Ville Heinola, Haydn Fleury, Elias Salomonsson, Gabriel Vilardi, Walker Duehr and Gustav Nyquist. Josh Morrissey skated in a yellow, non-contact jersey. The goalies were Eric Comrie and Jason Kasdorf.
