The Jets last hit the ice as a team in an official capacity back on February 7th as they defeated the Islanders in Winnipeg to win their eighth straight game. Thereafter most of the team had an extended holiday as Connor Hellebuyck, Kyle Connor and Josh Morrissey left for the 4 Nations tournament. That trio will do battle in Boston on Thursday night for the title of champion but the rest of their teammates are in Manitoba to practice for the next three days as they prepare for their first game in 15 days.

The only question was the status of captain Adam Lowry and winger Morgan Barron, who were both out week-to-week.

Skate news:

Jets captain Adam Lowry on the ice and in a regular uniform. No Morgan Barron. Everyone else present and accounted for.

Health update:

Winger Morgan Barron is IR skating as per head coach Scott Arniel. But worth noting it doesn’t sound like he will be an option for this weekend.

Lineup news:

The 4 Nations championship game is on Thursday in Boston which would make it a quick turnaround for Connor Hellebuyck, Kyle Connor and Josh Morrissey to get to St. Louis for the Jets game on Saturday night. Head coach Scott Arniel was asked if it was an option for them to be given the choice to skip the game/trip and meet the team in Winnipeg. He said they are considering all their options and will let us know on Friday how they will proceed.
