Winnipeg Jets Practice Report

The Jets hit the ice for practice before they take on the Flyers.

The Jets remain the number one team in the NHL after their late comeback in the 3rd period provided them with a 2-1 win over the Hawks which was their eighth straight victory. It came with a cost however as Mark Scheifele pulled up in some pain early in the 2nd, left the game and did not return.  There wasn’t an update after the game as head coach Rick Bowness said Scheifele would be evaluated further on Friday so perhaps he will have one today.

Transaction news:

The Jets recalled Rasmus Kupari from his conditioning stint.

Skate news:

No Mark Scheifele. Also no AJF. Nikolaj Ehlers was on the ice but left early.

Kyle Connor and David Gustafsson remain in yellow, non-contact uniforms.

Health update:

Some good news regarding Mark Scheifele as head coach Rick Bowness labelled him as “day-to-day”. He did indicate that Nikolaj Ehlers is dealing with an upper-body injury which was the reason he left practice early so as to not exacerbate it. They are hopeful 27 plays tomorrow.  And lastly he said AJF continues to deal with illness which kept him off the ice again today.
