The Jets hit the ice this morning at hockey for all centre fresh off a 2-1 win over the Hurricanes yesterday. They will be holding an optional practice today.
Skate news:
On the ice: Morgan Barron, Alex Iaffalo, Nate Schmidt, AJF, David Gustafsson, Cole Perfetti, Logan Stanley, Declan Chisholm, Dylan Samberg, Nino Niedderreiter & Connor Hellebuyck.
Impressive to see Nino Niederreiter putting in the work at today’s heavily optional Jets practice fresh off signing a three-year, 12 million dollar extension
Heinola update:
According to Jets head coach Rick Bowness defenceman Ville Heinola was on skates for the first time today as he continues to work himself back from ankle surgery although he’s still “aways away”.
Namestnikov update:
Rick Bowness said “don’t rule out Thursday” but labelled Vlad Namestnikov as “probably doubtful”. But said he did play last year with a broken toe for a month so he can play with pain.
