Winnipeg Jets Practice Report

After a day off they hit the ice before leaving for Calgary.

The Jets were off on Thursday as they mix practice and rest time during a good stretch in the schedule that affords them the opportunity for both. They will practice in Winnipeg today before they take off for Calgary to start a short, two-game road trip out west.

Pre-skate news:

The team recalled Mikey Eyssimont who is tied for the Moose lead in scoring. Not a big surprise the team got some insurance ahead of the road trip.

Skate news:

Everyone was present and accounted for today at practice with exception of the injured players (Ehlers, Stanley, Barron). Mikey Eyssimont was on the ice early.

Coach media availability:

Health news:

There was some thought that Nikolaj Ehlers would be skating by the end of this week. Head coach Rick Bowness said in his media availability that the Jets are being cautious with the dynamic winger. Expects him to be on the ice on Tuesday or Wednesday. He will not be going on the road trip. Wouldn’t call it a setback. Just reiterated team is being careful with number 27.

New contest:

A new month means a new contest and you’ll have more chances to win authentic Jets jerseys, hats and shirts. But you cannot win if you do not enter so be sure to get your entries here.
