The Jets played their first home game in over a month last night but much like their recent games on the road they once again came up short which means the winless skid hit five games (0-3-2). Today they prepare to face a Canucks team which is tied with them in points (although the Jets have three games in hand).
In covid protocol:
Dominic Toninato who went in Tuesday morning and Josh Morrissey who was placed in protocol Tuesday evening.
Pre-skate news:
According to Mitchell Clinton of JetsTV “David Gustafsson and Dylan DeMelo are out for a skate with strength and conditioning coach Jake Wolff this morning.” That seems to be particularly good news when it comes to Jets 2018 2nd rounder Gustafsson as just yesterday interim head coach Dave Lowry said “Gus is coming along but he’s not close to being a player”.
Transaction news:
Pair of players (Johnny Kovacevic and Kristian Reichel) have been reassigned to taxi squad from the Jets this morning.
Skate news:
As per Ken Wiebe of Sportsnet missing from skate today is defenceman Dylan Samberg. Wieber updates us with the lines and D pairs from Canada Life.
Health news:
Tough news for Jets 2017 2nd rounder Dylan Samberg who has been listed as “week-to-week” by interim coach Dave Lowry.

Would be interesting to see if they keep Heinola and Kovacevic together. The two have played eight games this season as a pair with the Moose.
