The Jets have hit a bit of a skid as they’ve lost two straight games and three of their last four games as they sit 20-13-2 with just a couple of games left before the Christmas break.  They are currently sitting in the 1st Wild Card spot just two points up on the Wild who are sitting in the ninth spot in the Western Conference.

Minnesota has made St. Paul a hard to place to earn two points as the Wild have gone 9-1-3 at Xcel Energy Center.

Skate News:

According to Mitchell Clinton of Jets TV the only player not skating from last night is Tucker Poolman.  Looks like Jansen Harkins NHL debut will have to wait another day as according to Jason Bell of the Winnipeg Free Press the Jets 2015 2nd rounder is the extra skater in the forward group.

Coach Maurice:  Will he make any lineup changes for tomorrow’s game.  How does he feel coming out of that game?  How concerned is he with the Jets 1st periods overall?  Coming out hard.  Trying to make “pretty plays”.  His thoughts of Joona Luoto’s game.  His interest in seeing Harkins play.  Is Christmas hockey a game that Winnipeg can win?

NHL Debut Delayed:

It sounds like the NHL debut for Jansen Harkins may not take place in St. Paul tomorrow.  Coach Maurice simply said it would be a decision based on the health of his third and fourth lines.

Up Next:

The Jets will face the Wild tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 pm CT which will be a stand-alone road game.  Be sure to keep it locked to illegalcurve.com for the AM Papers which go live at 7 AM.
