Fresh off a 4-1 win over the Canucks last night the Jets hit the ice today as they get set to renew acquaintances with a central division team for the first time in 12 games.  Tomorrow the red-hot Stars who have won four straight will be in town as they look to bring themselves even with Winnipeg in the standings.

Skate News:

As per Paul Edmonds of TSN 1290 Winnipeg a few players weren’t at skate today including Blake Wheeler, Nikolaj Ehlers and Dmitry Kulikov.  Mathieu Perreault was on the ice but left according to the voice of the Jets on TSN 1290.

Connor Hellebuyck

Andrew Copp

Luca Sbisa

Coach Maurice:  What is he seeing from Connor Hellebuyck this season?  On Hellebuyck’s confidence.  How does he feel the team has done in protecting the blueline?  Zone time to shots from your blueline.  On a high skilled player playing on the outside.  Any update on the players not skating today?  On the Ville Heinola reassignment to Lukko Rauma.  On what he’s liked from Luca Sbisa’s game.  Does Hellebuyck start?  Same lines?  Challenges of coaching this team.

Tomorrow’s lineup vs Stars:

No lineup changes expected for the Jets and Connor Hellebuyck starts according to coach Maurice.

Up Next:

The Jets will continue this home stand with a game against the Stars tomorrow afternoon with a 1 pm puck drop.  Be sure to keep it locked to illegalcurve.com for the AM Papers which go live at 7 AM.
