Following last night’s 5-4 OT victory over the Blues the Jets are back on the ice today out at the IcePlex as they prepared to finish off this six-game homestand against the Leafs tomorrow night.

Practice Notes:

As per Mike McIntyre of the Winnipeg Free Press all Jets are present and accounted for except for captain Blake Wheeler.  Via Ken Wiebe of the Winnipeg Sun we get a look at how the lines are being run.

Lines at practice:

Laine-Scheifele-Petan (Wheeler)
Connor-Little-Ehlers
Copp-Lowry-Tanev
Lemieux-Roslovic-Perreault

Audio:

Bryan Little

Connor Hellebuyck

Patrik Laine

Coach Maurice:  Any extra juice inside the room about this game with the Leafs?  On how adding Tavares has changed the dynamic in Toronto.  Why have the Jets struggled out of the gate in 1st periods?  Status of Wheeler?  Any concern with a suspension regarding the Tanev hit?  Could last night be an awakening for the Jets?  Will he stick with the lines he ended the game with or the ones he started the game with?  Did he feel like Laine got his feet moving when moved to a line with Scheifele and Wheeler?  On Laine being excited to play with 55/26.  Play of Connor on a line with 18/27.  Can Kyle Connor playing on second line help get Nikolaj Ehlers going?  On seeing Perreault slide onto the TLC line.  On a Winnipeg/Toronto being featured on NBC tomorrow night.  Is there a temptation to put Kulikov back with Myers?  On the success of the special teams.

Status of Wheeler:

The Jets captain wasn’t at the skate out at the IcePlex but Jets coach Paul Maurice indicated that “He’s good.  He’s 100%.  Got the over 30 discount.  When you get over 25 minutes you get the option.”
